From the Vault: Katzenstein traveled around Mississippi and Arkansas with journalist Robert Palmer on assignment for Rolling Stone Magazine – they were searching for the roots of blues in the delta. The series of photographs here come from the weekly ‘house party’ that blues guitarist Junior Kimbrough used to host at his home in rural Mississippi. Between moonshine, gambling and driving blues it made for an active Sunday afternoon outing.
